Home from the Hospital
June 2, 2006
Actually I made it home on Tuesday, after 5:00pm, but just haven’t felt like posting. Today is a better day. My brother and my oldest son are coming over for a sleep over and to take care of me on Saturday since Patrice has to work tomorrow.
Patrice has been an absolute angel before and after the surgery, she is truly a gift from God to me. She has been the perfect nurse and looks pretty damn good in her white nurses’ outfit!
The surgery went very well, so says the doctor, however I can’t tell if the original pain is gone due to the surgical pain now present. Now I can look forward to four months of bed rest, no pressure on my left foot for the same four months. I am getting around out to the patio with wheel chair and walker, it just takes a lot of energy out of me to go very short distances.
Right now I have no desire to smoke a cigar, that sure sounds funny coming from my lips but I guess the meds and other factors have an effect on my tastes. I do have a couple of reviews in the recorder that need to be put into print. I’ll try to get those up in the next week or so, no promises though.

Glad you’re home and well taken care of, Richard. Cigars and pain meds probably don’t mix. I suggest you consult your nurse and resume activities, smoking or non, as needed.

Glad your home too. We need all the cigar bloggers healthy and happy!
Thanks for the well wishes and concern. I am feeling better every day and hope to be able to post soon.
